This operation allows you to remove the exterior mirror cover without having to completely disassemble it. The first operation to do is to close the rear-view mirror as far as it will go and keep it in this position: at this point it is possible to view, in correspondence with the aluminum support, the cap holding hook. With the help of a fixed medium-sized screwdriver, pry to release the retaining spring (bayonet system). Close the mirror and remove the cover. If necessary, the same operation must be repeated for the other mirror as well.
