How to change the gear shift knob cover of a Mercedes GLK

The procedure for replacing the gear shift boot of a Mercedes GLK vehicle is simple and quick. Before starting, if the car has a manual gear shift lever, make sure to put it in "P" (park) and if it is an automatic version, make sure the vehicle is turned off. Proceed to remove the cover of the gear shift lever by lifting it off; the cover may be secured with clips or screws, be careful not to damage the upholstery or clips when removing it. Once the cover is removed, you will see the gear shift boot secured around the base of the lever; it will be secured with a clamp or a ring, rotate it to remove it. Place the new boot around the base of the gear shift lever and put back the previously removed cover.
