How to change the oil on a Mercedes GLK? Follow these steps for the oil and filter change. Lift the car on a column lift or jack and remove the plastic engine cover with a Torx screwdriver. Unscrew the bolt located under the oil sump to allow the oil to drain into a disposal container. Once all the oil has drained, screw the bolt back into the oil sump. Unscrew the black filter cap: remove the old filter and insert the new one. At the end of the installation, top up the oil following the manufacturer's recommendations.
