These are special tires designed to allow driving for a short distance, even in the event of a puncture and subsequent complete loss of pressure. Unlike traditional tires, Run-flats have reinforced, stiffer and more resistant sidewalls. This feature allows the tire to maintain a certain shape even at zero pressure, supporting the weight of the vehicle. The distance that can be covered with a Run-flat tire at zero pressure varies depending on the model, the weight of the vehicle, and road conditions, but generally ranges between 50 and 80 kilometers, traveled at speeds not exceeding 80 km/h.
