How to reset the service on a Mercedes

Model: Mercedes Classe C W202 - Years 1993-2000
Part: Service warning light

On the Mercedes, the service reminder reset is performed with the ignition on and the engine off. Turn the key to position 2 (ON), then within 4 seconds, press the trip odometer/reset button twice. Within 10 seconds, turn the key to position 0 (OFF), keep the same button pressed, and return to position 2 (ON), continuing to hold it for about 10–12 seconds until the display indicates the maintenance interval reset (FSS). Release the button, turn off the ignition, and turn it back on to check that the warning has been reset. If the reset is not accepted, repeat the sequence, ensuring that the doors are closed, the pedals are released, and the battery is well charged.
