How to remove the instrument cluster for LED replacement in a Mercedes E-Class? Carefully follow these steps for proper disassembly: Use a lever to remove the instrument cluster trim from the dashboard (black plastic trim); unscrew the securing screws located on the sides and pull out the unit (disconnect the power cables). Once the unit is removed from the dashboard: Install a new one or (replace the LEDs/bulbs in the cluster) reassemble the same unit after performing maintenance inside. Finally, proceed to install the instrument cluster by following the steps taken earlier.
