How to Replace the Heated Seat Fuse on a Mercedes ML 350

If the heated seats in your Mercedes ML 350 are not working, the cause may be a blown fuse. Here’s how to check it. A good method for verification is using a test lamp. Turn on the ignition, connect the test lamp cable to the negative terminal of the battery or to a chassis ground. By touching the two metal contacts on each fuse, if both contacts light the lamp, the fuse is good; if only one or none lights up, then it is blown. If testing with a multimeter, set the multimeter to 20 k Ohm (resistance). By touching the two poles of the fuse, if you find the resistance at 0 or close to 0 Ohm, then the fuse is good; if you read "OL" (open circuit), the fuse is blown. Visually, the blown fuse has the internal metal bridge broken. The heated seat fuse is located in the boot fuse box, behind a cover. You need to turn two knobs and lower the carpeted cover. It is fuse F68.
