Let’s see how to remove the external mirror glass on a Mercedes CLK. Using a lever (with a plastic or rubber cover), pry between the perimeter of the mirror frame and the mirror glass. Apply pressure until the glass detaches from the mirror (disconnect the power cable); this is a delicate operation as the glass or the mirror itself may break. Remove the mirror cover, replace the damaged part with a new one. Ensure the plastic clips snap into place on the mirror supports.
