For the Mercedes A-Class CDI W169, start by lifting the car to easily access the drain plug. In the video, you can see the positioning on the lift and then access from below: loosen the oil pan plug and let the used oil drain into a container, waiting for the flow to stop before closing it. Once the undercarriage work is done, move to the engine compartment for the oil filter, which is a cartridge type inside a housing with a cap. Unscrew the cap and remove the old cartridge, which is shown up close. On the workbench, prepare the replacement: replace the sealing ring (O-ring) on the cap/support and install the new cartridge, ensuring everything fits back in place without any gaps or misaligned seals. At this point, reinsert and close the filter assembly, then top off with new oil from above.
