How to Replace the Glass on an Outside Rearview Mirror on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class

To replace the glass on an outside rearview mirror on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class, fully orient the glass inward to create space on the outer edge. Carefully insert a plastic pry tool behind the glass and gradually apply pressure to release it from the motor support, avoiding forcing it in one spot. Once released, gently pull it away from the mirror and disconnect the electrical terminals for the heating system located on the back. If present, also disconnect any additional electrical connections. Connect the terminals to the new glass, align it correctly to the support, and gently press in the center until the clips fully engage. Finally, adjust the mirror electrically and check that the glass is stable and moves correctly.
