To disable the ESP on a Mercedes C-Class, turn on the ignition or start the engine. Use the controls on the steering wheel or the multimedia system to access the vehicle settings menu.

Go to the "Driver Assistance" or "Safety Systems" section and select the ESP function. Disable the system by confirming your choice: the indicator light on the instrument cluster will show that the ESP is off. On some versions, you can also press the dedicated button with the skidding car symbol, if available on the console.

To reactivate it, repeat the procedure or turn off and restart the vehicle, as the system will automatically reactivate.
