Detailed instructions - In this video, see how to reset and reprogram the service on a Toyota RAV4. Turn on the instrument cluster with the appropriate remote key; press the button located near the steering wheel (right side) until you find the message. Press the button next to the instrument cluster until the maintenance reset service message appears, and read the new service message. Turn off and turn on the instrument cluster again with the key; the maintenance completion message will appear with the mileage. Double-check everything and turn off the instrument cluster after setting it up.

Once this cover is removed, you will be able to locate the spring that regulates the handbrake tension.
