How to Replace Glow Plugs on A-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe A W176 - Years 2012-2018

Are the glow plugs on your A-Class damaged? Let's see how to replace them. Pull the hood release lever and lift the hood, securing it in place. Remove the soundproofing panel covering the engine head, then pull out the coils. Use a socket wrench to remove the glow plugs, taking them out of the head one at a time. Take the new glow plugs and guide them into the engine head with the socket extension, then screw in the glow plugs. Reattach the ignition coils and install the engine cover panel. Start the vehicle and test the operation.
