Is the shift knob on your Mercedes C-Class damaged? Here’s how to replace it. Use a plastic trim tool to disconnect the leather boot frame; lift the boot carefully and detach the plastic piece that secures the knob. Grip the knob and remove it from the shift lever. To install the new knob, slide it onto the lever in the center console, secure it (lock it with the plastic), and install the new leather boot with the clips. Test the movement of the lever in the center console to ensure all parts are properly installed.
