Mercedes Classe E - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe E W211 - Years 2002-2009
Part: Door panel
Operation: How to remove the panel on Mercedes E-Class

Remove the E-Class door cover panel? We disassemble the panel following the guide. With a lever, remove the plastic placed under the door panel handle, then, with a screwdriver, unscrew the tightening screws placed under it. We detach the cover on the left of the panel (we unscrew the screws). We detach the inner plastic of the mirror. Once all the screws have been removed, we remove the plastic clips that block the door. We remove the door panel by hand, unhook the power supply terminals and the door release cable. We mount the new door cover panel.

With the ignition on, the fuel cap, or rather the fuel filler flap, is open and therefore accessible. When trying to turn off the aforementioned ignition and then lock the car with the key, it is assumed that the petrol door, as well as the doors of the car, are closed, but this is not the case, in fact the latter in practice always remains open. Ultimately, you can access the fuel tank whether the car is closed or open.
