Replacing the Steering Wheel on a Mercedes C-Class

Replacing the steering wheel on a Mercedes C-Class? Let's look at removing the airbag and the steering wheel. Insert a screwdriver into the side slots (back) of the steering wheel and disengage the clips that secure the airbag. Once the airbag is released, remove it from above the steering wheel (disconnect the electrical connector). Use a socket wrench to remove the bolt on the steering wheel, then pull the wheel off the steering column. For reassembly, insert the steering wheel onto the steering column and tighten the securing bolt. Connect the power connector to the airbag and press it in with your hands until it locks onto the steering wheel.
