Replacing Brake Pads and Discs

Model: Mercedes Sprinter MK 1, W901 - Years 1995-2006

Lift the vehicle and secure it with appropriate axle stands. Unscrew the bolts and remove the wheel. Unscrew the two retaining screws of the caliper with an 18 mm spanner and remove it. Take off the caliper support bolts and remove it. Unscrew the disc screws and forcefully remove it from its seat. Clean all brake components of debris using a grinder. Refit the new disc and clean it. Also, clean the caliper, piston, and caliper support thoroughly. Refit the caliper support. Install the new pads, ensuring the correct rotation direction. Check the wear condition of the clips and the piston. Lubricate the mounting pins and reposition the piston, ensuring proper operation. Carefully reassemble the caliper and springs. Ensure the pads are perfectly seated against the disc. Restore the position of the pistons by pressing the brake pedal.
