Replacing the Radio on a Mercedes CLK

Model: Mercedes Clk A208, W208, C208 - Years 1997-2003

Using a plastic wedge, remove the base of the gear knob from its housing and disconnect the connectors. Slightly unscrew and pull the gear knob and gaiter. At this point, pull off the plastic trim surrounding the gear lever. Remove the entire cigarette lighter area, using a flat screwdriver for assistance. Again with the plastic wedge, remove the control panel above the radio. Of course, disconnect any connectors you find. Unscrew the four now-exposed screws, then remove the climate control panel and unscrew two more screws. Extract the radio and proceed in reverse for reassembly.
