How to Remove Tailgate Locks on Mercedes C-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe C W203 - Years 2000-2007

First, remove the inner panel of the tailgate. To do this, use a plastic wedge to pry it open at the seams. It is secured to the tailgate with six plastic clips and two metal clips. Next, unscrew the four screws located at the lock area (remove the screw covers first) and take off the cover. At this point, you can perform tests, as shown in the video, to identify which part of the lock is jammed, or you can remove the lock by unscrewing the mounting bolts and disconnecting the wires. For reassembly, simply reverse the steps.
