Replacing the Rear Brake Light Bulb

Model: Mercedes Classe C W203 - Years 2000-2007

To access the rear brake light bulb, open the trunk and the carpeted cover located just behind the light assembly to remove the socket (secured with a wing nut).
At this point, replace the damaged bulb (which will appear blackened) with a new one (a bayonet-style incandescent bulb) and reinstall the socket, securing it with the corresponding screw. Perform a functionality check: if the new bulb is significantly brighter than the other light, replace the other bulb in the same manner.
