How to Remove the Electric Power Steering on the Mercedes E-Class W212

Model: Mercedes Classe E W212 - Years 2009-2016

In this video tutorial, you will see step-by-step instructions to remove and replace the electric power steering on the Mercedes Benz E-Class W212, as well as on the CLS W218. First, lift the vehicle and remove the lower engine cover by unscrewing the fastening screws; then unscrew the fastening pins of the arm joints, as shown in the video. At this point, disconnect the connector and the clutch joint and disconnect the electrical connector of the electromechanical control unit; finally, unscrew all the pins of the electric power steering, remove it, and replace it with the new one!
