Resetting the Service Light

Model: Mercedes Classe C W203 - Years 2000-2007

The procedure to reset the SERVICE message on the instrument cluster is manual and does not require any dedicated diagnostic equipment. After performing regular maintenance by changing the engine oil and any filters, proceed to reset the light using the trip reset button located at the bottom left of the instrument cluster display frame. Turn on the ignition and use the steering wheel menu selection buttons to display the odometer; at this point, use the corresponding arrows to view the maintenance interval and press the trip reset button once: a reset prompt will appear, which you can confirm by pressing the button again for 3 seconds.
