How to Change the Engine Oil and Filter in a Mercedes C-Class

To change the engine oil and filter in a Mercedes-Benz C-Class, allow the engine to reach its normal operating temperature to make the oil more fluid. Turn off the vehicle, safely lift it, and place a drain pan under the engine. Unscrew the drain plug from the oil pan and wait for all the used oil to drain out. Once draining is complete, reinstall the plug using a new gasket if necessary. Next, move to the oil filter, removing the worn cartridge from its housing and replacing the O-rings provided with the new part. Insert the new filter, close the cover, and tighten it to the specified torque. Pour the prescribed amount of oil into the fill neck, then start the engine for a moment to ensure the system fills properly. After turning off the engine, wait a few minutes, check the level with the dipstick, and adjust if necessary, finally checking for any leaks around the filter and drain plug.
