How to Change the Oil in a Mercedes C-Class

To replace the engine oil in a Mercedes C-Class, start by placing the vehicle on a lift or a stable work surface. Open the hood and remove the plastic cover protecting the area where the oil filter is located. Then, using the appropriate wrench, unscrew the oil filter. Open the cap for the oil fill. Under the vehicle, remove the splash shield and, after placing a drain pan underneath, unscrew the bolt for the oil drain hole. Once the old oil has completely drained, close the drain hole, install the new filter, and finally, pour the new engine oil into the designated fill opening. Finally, reassemble the components that were removed!
