To change the engine oil on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class, start the engine for a few minutes to thin the oil, then turn off the vehicle and safely lift it. Place a container under the oil pan and unscrew the drain plug to completely empty the system of the old lubricant. Once the draining is complete, remove the oil filter using the appropriate tool. Before installing the new filter, apply a light coat of oil on the gasket to ensure a good seal. Then install the new filter and close the oil pan plug. Lower the vehicle and add the new oil through the upper engine cap in the correct amount. Finally, start the engine for a few seconds, check for leaks, and verify the level with the dipstick, adding oil if necessary.
