Removing the original car radio requires taking out other elements of the center console: start by prying off the air vents using a flathead screwdriver; also detach the leather boot of the gear shift and then the wood trim that acts as a frame. Next, pull out the ashtray to access the screws securing the center console and unscrew them; then remove the trim around the car radio that includes the climate control buttons by disconnecting the respective plugs. At this point, unscrew the screws securing the car radio.
