Central Console Replacement

The following guide shows how to dismantle the central tunnel of the cabin to replace the central console. First, remove the gear knob by pushing it upwards with force.

Then, remove the gear gaiter by pushing the side edge inwards. Next, take off the handbrake gaiter.

Raise the handbrake as high as possible to allow for the extraction of the console later. Remove all side screws from both sides and the caps.

Also, take out the ashtray tray and remove the two screws at the bottom. Then, remove the radio by unscrewing the four screws in the radio compartment and disconnecting the connectors.

You can then proceed to dismantle the cigarette lighter. After this, disconnect the fan control block and detach the air vents.

You can now start to unclip the console from the rear; the front will come away on its own.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat. Be careful of any electrical cables or components that may be connected to the seat during removal. Once the rear seat is removed, the disassembly is complete.
