To reset the service light on a Mercedes C-Class, you do not need to directly access the engine, making this a simple operation for anyone. First, insert the key and turn it to position one. Using the left arrow on the steering wheel, navigate to the menu and stop at the display showing the mileage.

Now, press the small button next to the air vent three times in a row. Turn the key to position two. Press the same button once and simultaneously press the up arrow. Finally, hold the previous button until the reset confirmation appears on the display.
