To reset the service light on the Mercedes CLK W209, ensure all doors, the boot, and the bonnet are closed; get inside the car and close the door; turn the key to the second position; navigate to the "maintenance interval warning" section using the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel (look for the spanner symbol on the display); press the button to the left of the speedometer for 3 seconds; then press the button again for 3 seconds to confirm the reset.

When you hear a beep, the reset is confirmed, and you can turn off the instrument cluster.
