Disassembling Electric Seat Adjustment Controls

Model: Mercedes Sl MK 5, R129 - Years 1989-2001

The controls for the electric seat adjustment are located on the door panel, just below the internal opening handle: to disassemble them, you first need to detach the trim located right behind the handle, then unscrew the underlying screw to remove the corresponding support (it is recommended to use a star-type screwdriver with a magnetic tip); by leveraging along the edges with a plastic tool, you can now detach the support plate for the electric seat adjustment controls and move it away from its seat enough to disconnect the power connector. Then, apply the metal tabs in their respective slots, connect the plug, and reposition the plate ensuring it fits perfectly; then reassemble the support behind the handle and the trim.
