This brief video guide shows the steps necessary to replace the main battery of a Mercedes A-Class W176, third generation model produced from 2012 to 2018. First, open the hood and remove the battery cover. Next, use a 10mm wrench to loosen the nut that secures the battery in place at its base.

Now, with the same 10mm wrench, remove the negative terminal (black) first, followed by the positive terminal (red). Then, move the cables away from the battery to remove it. Finally, install a new battery by following the reverse procedure.
