Instructions for Removing Rear Shock Absorbers

Removing the rear shock absorbers is fairly simple since the shock and spring are not co-axial, as in the case of the front ones, but separate: it is simply a matter of unscrewing the nuts securing the shaft inside the trunk and then the bolts that attach the shock absorber to the rear axle. Start by removing the sound-absorbing cover located just behind the rear seat backs inside the trunk, then unscrew the nut and counter-nut on the shaft, place a support under the rear axle, unscrew the securing bolts, and extract them using a punch.
