Replacing Rear Shock Absorbers

Replacing the rear shock absorber is extremely simple since the spring is not integrated into the shock absorber itself, so there is no need for special clamps to compress it and separate it from the shock absorber, as is the case with front shock absorbers. Once the vehicle is lifted and the rear wheel is removed, place a jack stand under the suspension to support it during the shock absorber removal and proceed by unscrewing the mounting bolt on the control arm and the nut located inside the trunk. After removing the old shock absorber, install the new one by reversing the process (you can use a locking plier to hold the shaft while tightening the upper nut).
