Cleaning Windshield Wiper Motor Contacts

The wiper motor is located just below the windshield, in the center position: to access it, remove the plastic grille; once you reach the motor, unscrew the mounting screws of the cap located right at the gear rack driven by the worm screw pulled by the motor: then lift the cap, being careful not to damage the gasket; under the cap are the two power contacts for the motor and two copper strips that act as sliding contacts to follow the position of the gear rack: it is advisable to clean these contacts to ensure the proper functioning of the system, including both the strips and the tracks on the gear rack.
