Mercedes Sprinter - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Sprinter MK 2, W906 - Years 2006-2018
Part: Checks and maintenance
Operation: Where is the AdBlue/SCR module located on a Mercedes Sprinter?

The SCR catalyst in diesel engines is used to reduce polluting emissions thanks to the AdBlue reducing agent. SCR stands for Selective Catalyst Reduction, which reduces nitrogen oxides by transforming them into nitrogen and water vapor through the injection of the AdBlue additive. The injection takes place upstream of the catalyst, in a percentage that varies between 3 and 5% compared to diesel fuel, so the consumption is around 1 to 1.5 liters every 1,000 kilometers. The AdBlue/SCR module in the Mercedes Sprinter (both right-hand drive and left-hand drive) is located on the right side of the vehicle. For left-hand drive vehicles, it is a white box with SCR/gen3 written on it.
