Learn how to change the rear hinges on the MK3 version of the Mercedes Sprinter. This task requires two people, as you will need assistance to hold the door. Start with the top hinge. Mark the position of the hinge so you know where to reattach it later. You will need a 17mm spanner, a Torx T4 and T5, and a star screwdriver. Begin by loosening the lower nuts while someone holds the door. Fit the new hinge with the smaller side towards the door: you have marked the hinge positions, so you can reinsert them easily. Initially, tighten the screws by hand; you will tighten them fully later. Close the door to ensure it is properly aligned. If everything is okay, securely tighten the outer screws, then open and close the inner ones. Repeat the same process for the upper hinge and the other door.
