How to Replace the Suspension on Your Car

Maintaining your car is very important. This guide shows how to replace the car's suspension. It is not a very complicated task, but it requires a basic understanding and knowledge. The suspension helps absorb the shocks that reach the vehicle by compressing and expanding a gas contained within. Without it, the wheels would lose contact with the road, resulting in a loss of vehicle control. You will need an air compressor with a pneumatic gun, a jack, a spring compressor, a ratchet wrench, and a T-wrench. The first step is to lift the car with the jack and remove the wheel: put it in reverse and engage the parking brake, then remove the inner fender, which is secured by three plastic nuts; push from the bottom up to release it. Once this is done, the fender will come off easily. Now position the jack under the cradle on the shock absorber side. When it is lifted, align the vehicle to facilitate the removal, and then unscrew the bolt that holds the shock absorber using the same procedure as the lower one.
