Trunk Opening Issue

Model: Mercedes Classe E W211 - Years 2002-2009

You may experience a problem with the trunk opening on your car. Try removing the inner cover of the hatch and check for any issues, possibly with the wiring. In the upper left, you should find a black cable sheath that needs to be pulled. You might notice that the wires are worn, and if the wires are too short, they may not allow the trunk to open fully. Cold weather can also affect this, as it stiffens the sheath, risking the wires breaking. Cut the wires where they are damaged and rewire them to the trunk.
