To reset the Service light on the Mercedes E-Class, turn the key in the ignition switch: once the dashboard lights up, press and hold the call answer buttons, the MENU button, and the OK button located on the steering wheel spokes simultaneously. This will bring up a screen on the display, where you need to select the "ASSYST PLUS" option: this will give you access to another screen, where you should select the "Conf. Full Serv." option.

This will allow the light to reset, and then you can turn off the ignition.
