On the Mercedes Classe E, the operation to reset the Service light is done by turning the appropriate key inside the ignition switch to turn on the instrument panel: once the panel is on, you will need to navigate to the menu that appears on the instrument panel using the controls on the left side of the steering wheel. You will need to select the "Service data" option and then "Confirmation": this will bring up another screen where you will need to select "Standard oil". By doing this, a confirmation message will appear on the display and the Service light will disappear completely from the instrument panel.

How do you open the fuel flap of the Volkswagen Golf 5?
