Replacing the License Plate Light Bulb

Model: Mercedes Classe E W211 - Years 2002-2009

Replacing the license plate light bulb (which is of the bulb type) is done very quickly: open the trunk and lift it enough to access the lamp holder that houses the bulbs; then unscrew the two screws securing the small light fixture located just below the chrome strip at the center of the trunk; the fixture will come off, and inside you will find the bulb; remove the old bulb, check that the metal tabs are not oxidized, and insert a new bulb before reassembling the fixture.
