How to Replace License Plate Lights on Mercedes E-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe E W211 - Years 2002-2009

Removing the license plate light bulbs? Remove the rear light assembly and replace the damaged bulbs. Open and lift the trunk lid, then unscrew the securing screws above the light assembly. Remove the light assembly from the rear trunk. Disconnect the power connectors attached to the light and pull it out of its housing. Install the new bulbs in place of the damaged ones (replace the assembly if damaged). Secure the light assembly in the trunk and tighten the screws. Test the operation of the license plate lights. Remove the trunk liner to perform maintenance inside.
