Replacement of Exhaust Battery at End of Life

Model: Mercedes Classe M W163 - Years 1997-2005

After lifting the bonnet, check that the battery used so far is completely exhausted. Free the connectors on the positive and negative terminals, being careful to unbolt all the metal straps that hold the battery in place and remove them correctly. Since this is a long battery, lift it from one side and pull it out. Repeat the same movement to insert the new battery. By following all the steps taken to remove the exhausted battery, secure the new battery so that it is firmly in place, connect the terminals, and test it by starting the engine.
