Replacement of Airbag Control Module

Model: Mercedes Classe M W163 - Years 1997-2005

Remove the outer cover at the base of the gear lever, then unscrew the screws in the glove compartment and pull it out. Also, remove the screws securing the glove compartment cover and disconnect the connectors present. Now, gently lift and remove the panel located at the base of the gear lever and disconnect all connected connectors. Next, remove the two screws located under this compartment and lift the entire block. Under the black panel, unscrew the bolts securing the airbag module. Ensure you have disconnected the battery first. Now you can replace it and retrace the previous steps in reverse.
