The SAM (Signal Acquisition and Actuation Module) module is essentially a small computer that receives information from various sensors, switches, and control units in the car, processes it, and then activates various components and systems. For example, it receives inputs from switches such as lights or windows, or sensors such as fluid levels, brake wear, and other electronic control units. It then processes the received signals and based on these and its programming, the SAM module activates or deactivates various electrical components, such as external lights, windshield wipers, etc. In this vehicle, the module is located under the rear seat, behind the front right seat.
