If you own a Mercedes Class M W164 and need to work on the engine fuses, then all you have to do is follow the procedure described below. First of all, take precautions to avoid any danger by parking the car on a flat surface and completely turning it off. Immediately after, lift the front hood and locate the fuse box next to the vehicle's battery.

Finally, remove the cover of the box in order to access all the fuses and disconnect the battery in order to work on them.
