Replacing the air filter on a Mercedes A-Class W168 is a relatively simple task. Follow these steps.

Open the hood: make sure the engine is cool and open the hood of the engine compartment. Locate the air filter box: The air filter box is located right on the engine.

Remove the screws along the edge of the filter box cover and lift the cover. Remove the old filter: take out the cylindrical filter element and clean any dirt residue.

Insert the new filter: place the new filter in the filter housing, ensuring the seal is perfectly tight. Reattach the cover: screw the securing screws onto the air filter cover.
