How to Replace the Battery in a Mercedes-Benz C-Class W204

First, remove the plastic cover of the battery by detaching the three retaining clips as shown in the video. Next, disconnect the negative terminal (black) of the battery using a 10mm wrench, followed by the positive terminal (red). After that, continue the procedure by removing the two metal plates that hold the battery in place with a 13mm wrench and extension; one plate is located behind the battery and the other on the right. Finally, remove the old battery and replace it with a new one by following the reverse procedure.

Conversely, loosening the nut will decrease the handbrake's firmness and increase the lever's travel.
