How to Replace the Battery in a Mercedes-Benz C-Class W204 Key

If your Mercedes-Benz C-Class W204 indicates that the electronic key battery is low, or if you have difficulty locking or unlocking the door locks, it's time to replace the electronic key battery. The process is very simple. Start by removing the metal key by sliding the appropriate lever located at the top of the remote. Use the metal key to push the locking pin of the battery holder and pry it out to remove it. Now you can replace the batteries by sliding them out sideways. Insert the new batteries while respecting the polarity. Place the remote back in its housing and test its proper functioning.
