How to Dismantle Mercedes CLK Headlights

Model: Mercedes Clk W209, A209, C209 - Years 2002-2010

Don't know how to remove the headlights from your car? In this video, carefully see how to do it. First, use a socket spanner to unscrew the bolts on the left side of the plastic splash guard, then unscrew the Torx screw at the junction of the bumper as shown in the video. Do the same for the plastic engine cover underneath, releasing all the clips. Next, disconnect the indicator lights from the bumper and unscrew the bolts in the slot next to the headlight on the left side. Once the bolts are removed, retrieve them with a suitable magnet, being careful not to drop them. Unscrew the bolts of the vertical bar connecting the bumper to the metal frame and gently pull the bumper away. With your trusty socket spanner, unscrew all the bolts around the headlight perimeter, remove it from its housing, and disconnect the power connectors.
